Macquarie’s Distinguished DSAI Seminars

Macquarie’s School of Computing and DataX Research Centre jointly launch the Macquarie’s Distinguished DSAI Seminar series for distinguished speeches on data science and AI frontiers, recent advances, and best practices by internationally renowned thought-leaders, researchers and practitioners. The Macquarie’s Distinguished DSAI Seminar series aims to
  • promote original and significant research excellence and cutting-edge innovation in AI, data science, machine learning, and relevant areas;
  • nurture transdisciplinary, translational, transformative, and cross-domain DSAI research, innovation and applications;
  • support actionable enterprise innovations through business-friendly engagement and applications of DSAI excellence and innovation;
  • bridge gaps between cutting-edge research and impactful applications.

The DSAI Reading Series develops an in-depth, comprehensive and critical understanding, thinking, and analysis of the foundational, trending and emerging topics and techniques relating to DSAI and their technical landscape including statistical/mathematical modeling and simulation, machine/deep learning, NLP, computer vision and their significant technological development over time and globally.

Macquarie’s DSAI Spotlight

At Macquarie, we are dedicated to make nationally best and internationally outstanding accomplishments in the research, education/training, and enterprise innovation of data science and AI (DSAI), including machine learning, advanced analytics, computer vision, natural language processing, knowledge representation, humanoid robotics, behaviour informatics, and smart intelligent systems. We are endeavouring to timely share such original and significant research leadership, excellence, and innovation in DSAI with our existing and future academic, industrial, governmental, and non-governmental stakeholders. At the end of each year, this annual Macquarie's DSAI Spotlight series aims to celebrate and showcase whole-of-Macquarie's most advanced, nationally best, internationally outstanding and verified DSAI achievements made by our academic staff, post-doctoral fellows, and higher-education research students together with our partners, collaborators, and stakeholders, in particular,
  • competitive national and international research grants such as ARC, CRC and NHMRC projects;
  • monographs;
  • internationally top-tier journal publications (e.g., CORE/ERA A*-ranked);
  • internationally top-tier conference publications (e.g., CORE/ERA A*-ranked);
  • significant innovations and industrial applications.
